Botox® is a purified protein used for anti-ageing treatments.
Botox® is injected into the muscle and stops it from contracting. It reduces damage to collagen from repeated movement such as frowning, therefore preventing lines and wrinkles from appearing. It also helps to soften existing lines, restoring a more youthful appearance to the face.
The treatment is almost painless with little or no recovery time and involves using very fine needles to inject the product into the relevant areas.
There may be some minor swelling or redness in the areas treated which usually subsides within one to two hours after treatment.
